Take it all in as you drive for 8km around Hamptons Downs Raceway while one of our expert instructors guide you on the finer points of handling this supercar. The noise is unparalleled and the experience will never be forgotten.

Then just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, you’ll get the chance to jump into the passenger seat of the awesome Mitsubishi EvoX for a fast lap around the track. A great way to finish off the experience, every seat is as good as the next in this very capable car so whether you’re in the front or the back seat you’ll be smiling when you get out.driving experience.

Hampton Downs Motorsport Park

The Hampton Downs Motorsport Park is situated in rural northern Waikato (about halfway between Auckland and Hamilton on the Waikato Expressway), New Zealand near the Meremere drag strip and the dirt track club.

Hampton Downs is now arguably the most technically advanced race circuit in the world. The track has a very smooth surface, and a mix of blind bends and crests which make it a challenging circuit for drivers.

Location: Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, Hampton Downs Rd, Waikato  (5 mins from the Auckland Southern Motorway)

THE VEHICLE

Aston Martin Vantage

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a supreme example of modern automotive design. Manufactured by a British automotive manufacturer, the hand-crafted sports car offers exceptional performance, outstanding agility and everyday usability.

At the heart of every great sports car is a great engine, and the V8 Vantage Coupe and Roadster are powered by Aston Martin’s 313 kW (420 bhp) 4.7-litre V8, developed for both flexibility and outright performance. The V8 also sounds spectacular and is capable of propelling the car to a maximum speed of 290 km/h (180 mph).

As a general guide there is a height restriction of 6ft 5in and a weight restriction of 120kg, if you are outside of these parameters please call us to discuss available options.

This experience takes approximately 2.5 hours.

The Transmission is a manual stick shift.

Weekends are typically not available due to race events being held at the track. We run on a Thursday in most cases and periodically on alternate weekdays.

Yes spectators can come along and be with you in a the pit area. They are welcome to take pictures or film.

We offer USB video sticks and framed photos. These can be purchased on the day.

Normal Clothes. Please wear tight enclosed shoes. (No jandals, sandals or high heels) Privately owned helmets or suits are permitted.

This experience will go ahead in most weather conditions. If extreme weather causes the track to closed or the experience is unable to go ahead for any reason then a suitable future date will be discussed and re-booked at no further cost.

Should you have a pre-existing health condition, please be advised this experience involves high speeds and G-Force, we would recommend seeking professional advice ahead of the experience and please alert the organisers of any pre-existing conditions and/or movement limitations.

As with most motorsport, there is no insurance available, and you won’t be covered by your personal motor vehicle insurance. You will be required sign a waiver taking responsibility for any damage you cause if you have an accident. Mechanical breakage will be covered by the operator unless it is determined that you were driving in an excessively reckless manner.
